Carl Andersen Memorial 2007 Report

On Sunday, October 14, 2007, the Gaston County Cyclists sponsored this annual metric century, which started at Crowders Mountain State Park.  This was the sixth year this event has been held in memory of Carl Andersen, a club cyclist that died tragically as a result of a sudden storm in July of 2002.

The ride began at 10:00 a.m., & routes were marked at 60 & 36 miles.

Thanks go to Tommy Jones for organizing this year's event.  The 59 riders registered for the ride were treated to perfect fall weather, a well-marked course, & good support.  Here are some details about participation:
