Carl Andersen Memorial 2004 Report

On Sunday, October 10, 2004, the Gaston County Cyclists sponsored this annual metric century, which started at Crowders Mountain State Park.  This was the third year we have ridden in memory of Carl Andersen, a club cyclist that died tragically as a result of a sudden storm in July of 2002.

Thanks go to Jim & Flo McCarthy for organizing this year's event.  The 87 riders registered for the ride were treated to perfect fall weather, a well-marked course, & good support.  Here are some details:
