Route Description
The ride begins at the Lenoir Mall on US64 at 8 a.m.
The ride goes east on US64 Harper Avenue (NC18 Business), turns left. The ride goes past the post office to Ridge Street then turns left on Ashe Ave. After one block, the route turns right on Main Street and follows Main Street until turning left onto Creekway Drive. Creekway Drive leads the route to Abington Road.
At Abington Road, riders will turn right and proceed to the intersection with NC90, turning left and then turning left again onto the Adako Road (RD1335). Upon reaching NC181, the route turns right, heading North, and proceeds to the intersection with the Blue Ridge Parkway, heading North.
The ride follows the parkway to the Blowing Rock/Sandy Flats/Shulls Mill Road exit, turning right. Another right turn onto US221 brings the route to the entrance of Grandfather Mountain, also a right turn.
The ride ends at the mile-high summit of Grandfather Mountain for a total of 73.9 miles.
